This accounting position is an important role in supporting our rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in private financial accounting with the ability to learn quickly and juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. As the primary individual supporting all accounting functions, this position will handle a diverse range of financial and accounting responsibilities. This Accountant position currently reports directly to the CEO.

Your role on the team
  • Prepare and manage all tasks associated with financial accounting and reporting in accordance with GAAP including but not limited to: payroll, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, other GL account reconciliations, fixed asset management, depreciation and amortization schedules, vendor setup, issue POs, intangible asset capitalization, etc.
  • Establish and maintain all accounting policies and procedures
  • Process payroll and all associated payroll taxes, employee benefits, etc.
  • Cash Flow management
  • Prepare and manage budgets
  • Prepare internal financial reports for board and management use
  • Monthly financial statement preparation and review
  • Annual 1099 and W2 creation/distribution
  • Work with outside CPA firm to prepare and file annual corporate tax returns & K-1 distribution
  • Prepare and issue stock certificates to all shareholders
  • Maintain capital accounts for all shareholders
  • Work with outside legal counsel to prepare Private Placement Memorandums for CEO review
  • Prepare financial support documents for investor due diligence efforts for CEO review
  • Work closely with HR Representative for all accounting/HR crossover functions
  • Manage and process employee and company credit card expense reports
  • Other administrative, accounting or financial tasks as assigned
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (desired but not required)
  • 2+ years of private accounting experience (strongly desired but not required for right candidate)
  • Organized, entrepreneurial, quick-learner and self-motivated individual able to juggle multiple tasks/responsibilities
  • Intelligent, coachable and confident
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Professional, high-quality writing and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
