COMPANY Summary

Continuous Composites is at the forefront of additive manufacturing technology using a novel, continuous fiber-based, 3D printing process. Our engineering team is looking for an experienced and talented control systems engineer to further this technology, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging and cross-functional work environment.

Your role on the team

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of control systems that utilize PLCs, DC servos, stepper motors, various sensors, and data communication between various devices. You will also be responsible for robotic programming, in native robotic languages and C++. You will lead and mentor junior control engineers throughout the span of our ongoing projects.

What we're looking for
EXPERIENCE
  • M.S. or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • Experience with programming PLCs, NCs, HMIs, and Robotic controllers (5+ years).
  • Experience in architecting, defining, developing, and implementing robotic and automation equipment.
  • Experience with Electrical Engineering principles and design (analog and digital design, embedded systems, electrical and electronic wiring, etc.).
  • Thrive in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment and can clearly communicate across many teams.
Desirable
  • Experience with optimizing complex robotics and automation equipment for reliability, safety, ergonomics, quality, and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and Real Time Operating Systems.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot the machinery with which our control systems interface.
  • Experience mentoring junior control systems engineers.
  • Desire to work for an early stage startup company on disruptive technologies.
